How was the study conducted?

 

Rationale of the study

The rationale of the case study was to better understand how the UK compares with other countries such as the US in their current technology integration practice and policy.

Design of the study

 

The study was qualitative in nature. Data were collected from three sources of data:

  1. The literature.

  2. Interviews of three teachers

  3. Government sources (Ministry of education website: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-education). 

 

For the interview, a qualitative survey was administered to three teachers from the UK about their experiences with educational technology. 

Teachers and administrators of multiple schools were contacted via email, Social Media (WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube), and ePals.

However, only three classroom teachers responded to the interview. 

The were:

  1. a high school mathematics teacher,

  2. a computer science teacher, and

  3. an economics teacher.
