Key Findings

The study found contrasting results between actual practice and the literature. Technology integration in the UK is actually at an advanced stage. Teachers use various technologies; including computers, interactive boards, and Web 2.0 tools. Similar technology tools are being integrated into US classrooms and other developed nations. The contract with the literature could be a result of urgent entry into distance learning in the UK due to COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in fast learning of technology integration techniques by schools, teachers, and students.

In agreement with the literature, teachers reported a lack of technology professional development.
